Copycat

Kurzdorfer: “Can I tell a little mini story about how I saw it when I saw the cat? So, we have two cats in the house.  And, um, well they used... my dad lived in the house a long time ago. He had cats. And they were Maine coons. And our one cat's kind of striped like a Maine coon, but it, it has longer hair. So, I was going up to my  room, and I saw a cat in front of my door, and I was like, ‘Okay, that's a cat.’ And then, I went back downstairs, and I saw the cat had that striped look... I thought it was my cat. I thought it was my cat, Luke. And I went back downstairs, and I saw my cat, Luke, in front of the door. So, I was like, ‘Wait a minute.’ I went back upstairs, and the cat was gone. And then my dad... they show me pictures. It was one of his old cats.

Kurzdorfer: “It hasn't happened in a couple... it comes on the bed. Like, I was sleeping in the bed, and I'm like, ‘Oh, one of the cats are in the room crawling on me.’ And I looked up, and there was nothing there, and the cats were downstairs... both, both downstairs. We don't let them in the room at night. The doors are closed. The key is not to put the blankets back or try to see it. Because as soon as you do that, you kind of end whatever's happening. But, uh, walks... it'll walk on us. And, um, I've heard it meow twice, but the meow was more like an echo, not like a living...”

Hannah Davis: “A normal... yeah.”

Kurzdorfer: “Yeah. And around the same time that was happening, um, we had, it's seemed like a female presence. It moved the blankets on Amy a couple times, and um, it grabbed my feet. I work at the VA hospital. And there's a medium there. And I was telling him about it and he told me that, um, it was a woman named Rose. And then, um, Rose is my father's mother's name, who's just passed away. So, yeah, that's...

Kurzdorfer: “And we live with his father.”

Davis: “Yeah, yeah.”

Kurzdorfer: “So, that's... that's a short version of it all. We would all wake up in the morning at breakfast. My father... all of us would be talking about the cat. I said if anyone ever heard this, they would think we're insane. But, it hasn't happened in a while now... it's kind of sad. I don't know what happened.”
